The FOLDED MESH prosthesis represents a revolutionary innovation in the treatment of inguinal hernias.
It is a double-breasted, pre shaped prosthesis, with a unique shape, available in two types of polypropylene fabric (standard and macroporous). The mesh is shaped in such a way that it does not need to be closed with end tails around the cord (sometimes the rupture or incorrect knotting technique determines their opening with recurrent hernia), and allows a double reinforcement around the internal inguinal ring without the need for prosthesis fixing points.
The sliding of the two surfaces A and B one over the other, up to the complete tissue embedding, allows the prosthesis to adapt perfectly to the anatomical variations of the inguinal region without tractions and tensions which, together with the absence of prosthesis anchor points, reduce post-operative pain. This particular prosthesis can be used in association with a plug or separately depending on the type of hernioplasty that the surgeon wants to perform (suturless or tension-free).
